Bovis Nurtures Leaders of the Future

Effective fast-track graduate programme for Bovis

Bovis Lend Lease is one of the biggest names in UK construction. From its foundation in 1885, the company’s reputation for quality, innovation and commitment have earned it a large and loyal client base around the world. The company employs over 2000 people in the UK and has an annual turnover of £1.3 billion.

A place on the company graduate programme is highly prized in the construction industry. Bovis offers a highly competitive package and an innovative learning opportunity geared towards identifying and nurturing leaders of the future. The programme allows for tailored learning and support for chartered status with CIOB, RICS, ICE and many more professional qualifications.

New graduates make an impact on the business almost immediately

Bovis is one of A2B’s longest standing clients, which means we understand the business, its issues and the high standards and expectations it has of its new graduate intake.

Our role is always to:

  • Drive-home the importance of teamwork and its application at work

  • Increase the confidence and competence of the delegates when delivering client projects

  • To develop assertiveness and conflict management skills

The programme delivered by A2B was fast-paced and varied and was designed with flexibility in mind, allowing the tutor to amend the content and introduce work-related issues. Our tutors are carefully chosen for their experience in the construction industry and their ability to relate to new fast-track graduates with high expectations.

The results show that delegates are able to integrate into the workplace and add value to the business almost straight away. Bovis believes new graduates are now able to operate and integrate into their new teams more quickly and effectively, with fewer difficulties being cited by key managers.

Feedback from Bovis also shows that delegates of the A2B programme showed more commercial awareness and ‘business savvy’ and were able to use their new skills and awareness back at work.
